Calvin & Kenzie, can I say what an honor it was to photograph your wedding? From the beginning of the day, until the end, it was full of grace. I loved seeing two extraordinary families join together on this very joyous occasion! I wish you many sweet and delightful years of marriage and life together!
Summer Garden Greens
I've never really been the gardening type. Don't get me wrong, I love botanical products and greens on my dinner plate and in my smoothies, but the actual working of the dirt has never been my forte. In fact, my thumb is anything but green. I kill cacti and air plants. Basil plants hate me.
My husband, on the other hand, loves working the ground. He can grow anything. So, when we started our garden from seed, I had no doubt that he would be able to make fresh, green food spring up... so long as I didn't bring my brown thumb into the equation.
Taylor is the kind of man who loves hard work. He has strong and calloused hands that till the earth, and with those same hands, he delicately plants seeds and cares for the tender shoots that spring up.
I love those hands. I love this man.
#JasonandLiz | Portland Wedding Photographer
Oh my heavens, my heart rejoices for you two! What an honor it was to photograph your wedding, Jason & Liz! Elizabeth, you were an altogether exquisite bride, and Jason, you were an entirely dashing groom! You two are dynamite. Truly. Your overflowing joy caused me to walk around with a smile on my face all day... and a few days afterwards ;).
I am so excited to see what God has in store for you two in the next few years! I love you both.
Web Imagery for Noble Institute
“Noble Institute exists to help everyone learn how to participate more fully in the goodness and wisdom of God. What would it be like to walk in the ancient paths of wisdom where the good way is? If you are looking for a simpler, quieter, better way of life in the modern world, pull up a rocking chair on my front porch, and let’s talk.”
I had the pleasure of spending a wee-while, taking pictures of beautiful and intricate objects in the office of Gregg Harris, for his new website for Noble Institute. Gregg is a visionary, with a kind heart, brilliant mind and a wise soul. His eyes see parallels, lessons and analogies in all things. He is a passionate teacher of minds and hearts.
“There are what God calls “old paths, where the good way is.” Neighborly kindness. Honesty. Integrity. Skill. Hard work. These virtues never go out of style. The old fashioned institutions of covenant marriage, masculine fatherhood, feminine motherhood and family loyalty are also worth holding on to. But it’s hard to do what is right. Walking in wisdom is never easy. But is is good, because God is good. At Noble Institute we strive to be that kind of people. We advocate those kinds of old fashioned virtues and values. We teach these things to our kids and we teach others to do likewise. This is where the good way is. Do hard things. And raise your kids to do hard things.”
