Hello all photographers!
When I'm not shooting, editing images, hanging out with my husband or playing house, I am often working for (and with) my friends over at the Institute of Photographic Studies! I started teaching in their workshops in 2011 and have enjoyed it tremendously! It's a pretty neat group of photographers who love what they do.
I am just giving a small shout out about an online workshop that I'm teaching in June! I'll be teaching through two posing sessions; Posing Groom/Groomsmen and Posing Bride/Bridesmaids.
I'll be sharing examples from my work, as well as some of my fellow IPS teachers' work!
Check out these links below for more information and to register!
My husband, Taylor, is in the midst of his studies at Western Seminary in Portland and I have grown accustom to seeing his brow furrowed at his iPad as he plows through his many reading assignments.
I love watching him as he sits deep in his studies and thoughts.
It is amazing to me to see what a small, generous group of people can accomplish. Once a year, at New Life Church, folks from all three campuses pool together and donate a large number of things to the auction put on by the Middle School class. This year, about one-hundred seniors, mothers, fathers and kids gathered together in the basement of our New Life Riverfalls campus to commence the bidding barrage!
The proceeds from the auction go towards the support of two Dalit kids in India that the Middle School class has "adopted". With the money raised they are able to provide food, clothing and schooling, with extra to spare. Their prayer is that these two Dalit kids will have a chance to hear about Jesus and get an education that will allow them to rise above the caste system in India that holds them down.
It's amazing to see what a box of Peeps will sell for when God's people are bidding with a mindset of generosity and eternal investment.
Over $5100 was donated through this years auction.
